The Motufoua station generation capacity consists of 45kW solar PV/576kWhr of storage capacity has been providing power to the school since 2009.
The school has also been relied on the village station if having technical problems with it’s solar system.
Reports received from the two technicians that the new 65kVa generator has alaso been installed at the Motufoua Station on the 12 June 2021 and has been assisting the solar system since then.
In addition, financial assistance has been secured from the Italian Government to upgrade the School solar system and TEC is working now to implement the project. The implementation has been delayed because of the COVID-19.
